Norway's Foreign Minister Announces Intent to sign ATT on 3 June

On the morning of 22nd of May in Oslo, the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Espen Barth Eide, announced that Norway will sign the Arms Trade Treaty on 3rd of June. He also said that he will promote a swift ratification of the treaty this year.

Memorial in honor of Nobel Peace Prize Winner Wangari Mathaai

Wangari Mathaai died on the 25.th. of September 2011 at the age of 71. She was one of Africa’s leading women and a globally recognized environmental activist. The 19th of October Forum will have a memorial in her honor.
