The Norwegian Forum for Environment and Development (ForUM) is a think tank and national and international contact point for the coordination of policy initiatives and recommendations. These are anchored in a community of 54 member organisations in Norway, and the viewpoints of our international partners and those in the Global South.

Memorial in honor of Nobel Peace Prize Winner Wangari Mathaai

Wangari Mathaai died on the 25.th. of September 2011 at the age of 71. She was one of Africa’s leading women and a globally recognized environmental activist. The 19th of October Forum will have a memorial in her honor.

The world today faces a whole range of serious challenges. Solutions to the crises must be seen in relation to each other. ForUM is an important and clear voice when it comes to addressing the Norwegian authorities. We must promote solidarity, redistribution, equity and welfare.
