Our Goals
An international trade regulatory framework that is fair and environmentally friendly, and which gives developing countries the policy space to decide for themselves which trade policy they wish to implement.
Policy outcomes
1. Civil society organisations in the South have more influence on national and international trade policies.
2. Agreements are reached within, or outside of, the WTO that ensure developing countries’ right to protect their own food production and prohibit dumping of food on the global market.
3. Norwegian authorities have not entered into trade and investment agreements that limit developing countries’ policy space.
4. Norwegian authorities have become more open about negotiating processes and positions regarding new trade agreements, both bi- and multilateral.
