What we do
ForUM is a key actor in the debate on corporate social and environmental responsibility. In Norway we act on behalf of ForUM’s membership. Internationally we are also represented by the two networks, OECD watch and the European Coalition for Corporate Justice (ECCJ). Our principal obligation is to lobby for intensified efforts to establish regulating mechanisms nationally and globally. Additionally ForUM works towards more effective and useful non-judicial initiatives to improve corporate behavior. This includes encouraging and preparing complaints to the National Contact point for the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and supporting Southern partners in doing so. Further more we attempt to uncover and illuminate examples of serious violation committed for profits.
